Radio and Television
Ad Club Awards

My Graphic Design experience began at WHIO-TV (Cox) and WKEF-TV in Dayton Ohio, where I was an artist, and then was promoted to the Art Director's position. I was responsible for all on-the-air, magazine and newspaper advertising, studio and location photography, and some set design. For the above mentioned work I received several first place Dayton Ad Club awards, for concept, copy & design, in the magazine and newspaper category, against such contenders as Meade Paper and NCR. During this time WKEF became the number one independent station in the nation.

Copy Writing

In Atlanta, I developed my own pre-press production business, which handled yellow pages overflow work, hotel guides, and catalogs. Since then, my work has included full-page CMYK magazine ads, for trade publications, such as Engineered Systems, (which won "Highest Reader Response" recognition). My work also included product documentation, installation and user guides, direct mail advertising pieces, brochures, slide presentations, overheads, and press releases, all utilizing concept, layout, writing, illustration, and Photoshop skills.

Animation

After moving to Jacksonville, in November of 1996, I worked on contract basis with Quality Business Solutions on web site projects, product catalogs and magazine advertising, with BayHill Digital Design, producing interactive training materials for CSX and Norfolk Railroads (using Authorware), with EBI / Interlink America, Skyline Publications and WebFodder. As an employee for three years, of Logistic Services International, a defense contractor, I utilized Authorware and various animation programs to produce documentation and interactive Computer Based Training for aircraft and surface warfare technology.

Trade Shows

I was then employed by Medtronic, a medical technology manufacturer, for 4 years, and was responsible for all print, trade show, web site design and packaging for the Ophthalmic division. My duties also included product design and illustration. I am now accepting contract print and web design work in my home office, on both Macintosh and PC, with Adobe InDesign, Quark Express, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, DreamWeaver and more.
